Forrester just released The Forrester WaveTM: Mobile Engagement Automation, Q3 2017 evaluation, and the report offers strong advice to future-focused enterprises. According to
Julie Ask’s research1, “born-mobile enterprises set the digital experience bar.” These companies are creating powerful brand moments that reshape the customer journey and forge new paths for long-term connections.

Marissa Aydlett, Appboy (soon to be Braze) SVP of Marketing, and Jena Donlin, Appboy
(soon to be Braze) Product Marketing Manager, are joined by Forrester’s Julie Ask to dive into this brand-new category of technology evaluation, the strategic blueprint that born-mobile companies share, and best practices for meeting modern customer expectations.

Born-mobile enterprises are setting a new bar for customers’ digital experiences.  In the Forrester Wave ™: Mobile Engagement Automation, Q3 2017, Forrester outlined that the “the next battleground to win, serve, and retain customers is in the moment. Enterprises must pivot toward delivering proactive, hyperpersonalized content and services when and where a consumer needs or wants them.” Companies with antiquated approaches (like batch-and-blast messaging) and non-agile operations are fighting to keep up and failing to deliver these next-generation communications, compromising connections with customers.

In her latest research, Forrester’s Julie Ask found that born-mobile enterprises are obsessed with the customer journey overall. They create responsive experiences based on each customer’s unique interaction in real time. In addition, they maximize the operational potential of their processes, organizations, culture, talent, technology, and metrics to better serve customers at scale.
